School plays a major part in everyone’s life at some stage – first as a student and then, often, as a parent. Since we began our work, our users have been sharing experiences around going to school with Autism, supporting their child with Autism in school and teaching children and young people with Autism.
As a grass-roots led organisation we wanted to respond with a campaign on making school easier for people with Autism. Over the past number of months we have been developing a national campaign which will see us visit schools across Ireland and provide autism awareness workshops to students and teachers and also developing handbooks to be launched ahead of the return to school in September.
Education will be a priority area for our organisation going forward and we want YOUR input. Please post below, in the comments sections, any particular areas you would like to see us address, to share information on or to develop public awareness in.
The more feedback we get, the more effective our programme!
