Today we finally got an opportunity to catch up with Dr. Gillian Smith, Founder and Principal Practitioner of The Dental Suite, Bray, and this year’s Sensodyne Dentist of the Year.
Dr. Gillian Smith won this award in recognition of her work with a 28 year old patient, Neal, who has autism and her commitment to proving quality care to many patients with autism, many of whom find a visit to the dental surgery a scary and nerve-wracking experience.
Check out our interview with Dr. Gillian below (Adam’s hand was a little shaky while he was filming on the tablet so apologies in advance!) where she raises some really interesting points regarding making dentistry more autistic-friendly.
