AsIAm.ie is currently preparing a major national awareness campaign aimed at educating neurotypical young people, aged 15-22, to gain a greater understanding of their peers on the Autism Spectrum. This campaign is being supported by the Department of Justice and Equality through the Disability Awareness Raising Grant Scheme.
As with everything we do, we want the Autism community to be the voice of this campaign. We have established a Youth Leadership Team to direct the campaign and are also holding a number of public consultation meetings.
The more voices we hear, the more able we are to formulate a strong campaign which reflects the diverse views and experiences of the Autism Community.
To that end, we are inviting all young people, aged 15-22, with a diagnosis of Autism/Aspergers Syndrome to take the time to complete our short survey below.
We are also conscious that not every person with Autism can/wants to advocate for themselves. To that end, we are also inviting parents/guardians of young people with Autism to complete a survey, which is directly beneath the youth survey on this page.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this – together we will build a more inclusive Ireland for all of us affected by Autism
