Niamh Mellerick- Community Support Manager

Give Autistic people the #SameChance this World Autism Month

Niamh Mellerick is AsIAm’s Community Support Manager, a role that is currently focused on creating a national autism information line to be launched in late autumn. The information line will provide a direct contact for the Irish autism community to call and seek information on a wide range of autism related issues.

Niamh is a senior occupational therapist with considerable hands-on experience working with autistic children, young people, and families. Niamh was also an occupational therapy lecturer for three years, and has recently completed a Master of Science in occupational therapy. Niamh is hugely excited to be working alongside the team in creating the information line, a role that embodies the occupational therapy values of education and advocacy so well.

When not studying and working, Niamh spends way too much time on her kindle downloading the latest bestsellers and enjoying them with tea. She is also to be found out and about with family, friends and dogs enjoying Dublin’s wonderful walking and hiking spots.
