Training & Business Advisory Officer
Originally from Waterford, Aisling joined AsIAm in 2017 as our Youth Engagement & Programs Officer.
Having moved back to Ireland in 2011 after living abroad, Aisling is mum to two boys, the youngest of which is on the autism spectrum. She is passionate about empowering families and believes that no dream should ever be out of reach for anyone in the autism community.
Since starting her new role as AsIAm’s first Training and Business Advisory Officer in May 2018, Aisling liaises with businesses and organisations from all over Irish society in making their workplaces and processes more autism-friendly. She delivers AsIAm’s Autism Accreditation initiative, training staff and ensuring all services are accessible for autistic people in our communities.
Having worked with both adults and young people on the autism spectrum, Aisling is also the current Chair of the Triple A Alliance, a registered charity and advocacy group based in north Co. Wicklow where she tries to help educate society on how to be autism-friendly in a meaningful way.
Her motto is “If it’s not broken, fix it ’till it is!”
