Gáibhin is our Information Officer. He manages AsIAm.ie’s online presence and the website’s content plan for each month, researching and writing its informational sections, as well as conducting interviews and spotlight pieces with autism advocates around Ireland.
Originally from Belfast and a joint honours graduate in English and Politics from Queen’s University, the move to Dublin to work with AsIAm was a perfect fit for Gáibhin. As a young person with Asperger’s Syndrome who also has younger brother on the autism spectrum himself, he has volunteered extensively with local advocacy and support groups for Belfast’s autistic community, namely with the Orchardville and National Autistic Societies.
Outside of work, Gáibhin is a keen illustrator and amateur painter.
Is an-dúil gaeilgeoir agus teangacha foghlaimeora é, tá baint aige le cumainn Chonradh na Gaeilge i mBéal Feirste agus i mBaile Átha Cliath.
