Calling All Cyclists! AsIAm is hostings its 5th Annual 100km Cycle on Saturday 9th May!

Our cycle aims for experienced cyclists who can commit to a target of €500 in sponsorship. Each year numerous professionals get involved and use it as an opportunity to team build and create new connections. Each participant receives a jersey prior to the event to be worn on the day. We’ll also provide lunch and refreshments throughout the day as well  as all necessary health and safety arrangements.

In 2019 the generosity of our cyclists raised over €30,000 enabling us to undertake our program of work supporting autistic young people in school and in their personal development this has included

– The provision of workshops to over 800 students in secondary schools across Ireland

– Delivery of autism training to 600 teachers to develop skills and methods to enable autistic students to achieve their personal potential

– The roll out of our Autism Friendly Schools Pilot Program – supporting over 100 schools in developing the support, training, resources and policies to holistically include autistic students

– Directly working with 25 autistic teenagers and young adults to develop self-advocacy skills, develop their confidence and social skills and become young leaders within the community

The Cycle will kick off in Seapoint Rugby Club at 9am before proceeding through the Wicklow Mountains. The cycle ends back at the Club for a BBQ and a celebration of the day!

Looking forward to seeing you mount your saddles once again for another successful day in support of AsIAm!
