Autism and Romantic Relationships
September 25 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
In a condition that has for so long been mainly considered through the lens of children, autistic romantic relationships are rarely discussed. This leads both autistic people and their partners (neurotypical or otherwise) to face struggles in their relationships around anything from communication to sex that they have not previously considered, let alone been specifically prepared for. In this webinar we will explore how autistic people might experience relationships, what problems the relationship might face and how all partners involved can support each other. We are joined by expert speaker Tiga-Rose Nercessian to guide us through this subject.
Speaker Bio:
Tiga-Rose Nercessian (she/her) is an autistic, accredited psychosexual and relationship psychotherapist, multi-certified intimacy coach, trainer, and academic researcher, who has been working in the field since 2015. Tiga-Rose works in private practice predominantly with erotically marginalised adults, especially those who are neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, kinky, queer, and non-monogamous. Her aim is to help people have happier, healthier, and more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others – whatever that relationship looks like for them.
