The 5k Georgia’s Way Run for Autism in aid of AsIAm was postponed on May 3rd due to Covid-19. The volunteer committee run by Michael, Ciara Jones and Dermot McCarthy decided instead of cancelling the event in its entirety a virtual run/walk would take place instead.
The run/walk albeit in a different style will now take the form of a virtual run, to take place ‘anywhere, anytime’ wherever you are on the 3rd of August 2020. We do hope that this event will be as participatory as possible, and we want all of you to create a buzz in your own way so that we can all enjoy the virtual run in a unique way whilst still supporting AsIAm. This will include posting your individual or family pictures on the day with your jersey and medal to the Facebook page, ‘Reaching out to Autism’.
The essence behind the virtual event is that you can do the 5km anywhere around the country and still receive your Jersey and Medal. Participants can also upload their results and download the participation certificate as a souvenir.
Places for this event are limited with only 200 places left. If you or your family would like to support this event, please register here https://www.myrunresults.com/events/run_4_autism_5k_virtual_run_3rd_aug/3678/details
Race packs will be sent out the last week of July, so participants will have them before our official virtual event.
