Letter to Ministers Donnelly and Rabbite Regarding Dossiers Collected on Autistic Children

We’ve written to Minsters Stephen Donnelly and Anne Rabbitte asking for an urgent meeting to discuss the findings from RTÉ Investigates on the Department of Health’s collection of dossiers on autistic children. This is a gross breach of privacy and trust between the State and some of our most vulnerable citizens.
In keeping with our statement last night, AsIAm strongly encourages a full review into the culture and attitude surrounding the standard of care and support that autistic children and their families are experiencing. It is our hope we can work together to restore that trust and build better practices going forward. The letters can be viewed below.
