AsIAm undertakes a range of programmes and campaigns which work towards our goal of bringing about a more inclusive Ireland for those living with Autism.
We seek to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, from across society, to grow knowledge and understanding of Autism and enable individuals, groups, organisations and services to become more Autism-Friendly.
At the heart of everything we do is people with Autism and their families – who we consult and seek support from in developing our various projects. We know it is not possible to have effective campaigns or programmes about Autism unless they are informed by those living with the reality of the condition everyday.
We believe that in order to build a fairer Ireland for those with Autism we must develop the leadership and self-advocacy skills of the Autism community itself and a number of our campaigns are devoted to this work.
