Adult Support Group: Musical Storytelling

Welcome to AsIAm’s Adult Support Programme. We aim to reduce isolation and nurture community in autistic adults. This adult support group will focus on musical storytelling!

Let’s explore how to tell a story through music. We’ll discover the stories behind our favourite songs, the musical sounds of our everyday world, and create our own storyland through music and sound. No previous musical experience and no musical instruments required. A small box of simple instruments will be posted to the participants after the first session together (there is no obligation to play them in these sessions if you don’t want to. Once the sessions are finished, the instruments are yours to keep). Max 10 participants.

Dates: Thursday 2nd March 2023, recurring weekly until 6th April 2024.

Time: 6:30pm-7:30pm

Numbers: 10 (maximum)

Target Audience: Autistic individuals  (Age 18+) (A formal diagnosis is not required)
