- ‘User’ or ‘Users’ or ‘you’ or ‘your’ refers to any person or persons viewing or interacting with this site;

Users are actively encouraged to blog for AsIAm.ie, sharing their experiences and opinions about all things autism. These submissions may be written in the form of blogs, or visual by the way of podcasts. Submission guidelines are available on site.
If you have submitted content for AsIAm in the past and would like for it to be removed from our website, we will, as a courtesy, honour your request.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org, explaining your request and we will try to remove it within three working days. We will then notify you as soon as it is deleted by email.
Exceptions will be made to this courtesy if we feel that a submission is in gross violation of our guidelines. Violations include (but are not limited to) direct threats against a person or group of people, libelling and the inclusion of provocative sexual images. We will act accordingly in such a scenario and pass the content, as well as its contributor(s)’s contact information, onto the appropriate authorities if necessary.
AsIAm never share your contact details with another party, third or otherwise.
The only instance where your details maybe used by a product outside of AsIAm.ie itself is in our mailing list service. We will never automatically add you to this list. You will always have to provide opt-in consent to be mailed and can be removed at anytime by emailing email@example.com or just clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of your email newsletter.
Online map & services directory
AsIAm.ie’s online map of Ireland intends to provide Users with a clear and comprehensive bank of practical resources and services to make use of in their local communities. The map details a series of autism support groups, educational resources, and clinical services available across the island.
Organisations and services across the island are encouraged to submit their respective details on to AsIAm via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Simply include a high resolution image of your logo, your present office address and contact information.
Updating & removing details
If you wish to amend the details you have already provided AsIAm, or would like to remove them altogether, email email@example.com.

Equal Opportunities policy and monitoring
AsIAm is committed to equal opportunities at all stages of recruitment and selection. We nonetheless reserve the right to practice positive discrimination as set out by the Employment Equality Act, 1998.

Privacy and data protection
AsIAm respects the right to privacy of anyone using its recruitment website. All data submitted via AsIAm’s website will be held securely in accordance with the organisation’s Privacy and Data Protection Policy.
The information that you provide during registration and in your application form:
- will be used to establish your suitability or otherwise for the vacancy for which you are applying;
- will be used to verify the accuracy of the information you have provided us via this website or any other method;
- may be used to contact previous employers, educational institutions, personal referees and licence issuers that you enter on your application form for the purpose of verifying the accuracy of your data and seeking references;
- may be used to protect AsIAm from legal action in relation to your application.
If your application is successful and you become an employee of AsIAm, your information will be used for the following purpose during your employment:

Access to information

Use of service
The submission of any false information (whether knowingly or unknowingly) by you on your application form may lead to the following:
- disqualification of your application from any recruitment process you may be involved in any future application by you for any vacancies at AsIAm being automatically rejected;
- an offer of employment or training based on your application being withdrawn your employment being terminated without notice;
- legal action being taken against you where permitted by law.
Due to the volume of applications we receive, unsuccessful applicants may receive standard or automated correspondence from us.
We endeavour to screen all applications received through our website, however where application volumes are large, we reserve the right not to acknowledge your application, but where we do this will be by email and we will use your personal data to facilitate this.
Where an application is unsuccessful before you have reached the interview stage of the recruitment process we will not be obliged to inform you as to the reason for rejection.
An unsuccessful application for a current vacancy does not prevent you from applying for subsequently advertised vacancies unless you have been disqualified through submission of false information.
