AsIAm recognises that every adult who chooses to take part in the groups, including the book club, is over the age of 18, and as such, as autonomy that ought to be respected at all times. As a result, we accept that the books chosen for discussion within the book club may sometimes contain adult themes that might be sensitive to some readers. We ask that the discussion surrounding the books on these themes be sensitive, kind and at all times, not graphic in nature. We also invite anyone to sit out of a session if the conversation of a particular chosen book is uncomfortable to them, or to read an alternative book of their own choosing.

Please note that you will be contacted via email should you confirm your sign-up below. Emails will be sent to third-party facilitators in order to organise groups on behalf of AsIAm

To ensure that we are following all necessary GDPR guidelines, we request that each attendee sign up themselves, using their own email address and attend the groups unaccompanied.

This group is an activity-based wellbeing group, designed to be the interaction and enjoyment of the adult autistic community, within safe, accepting environments. Though these groups are intended to be enjoyable spaces, at times topics may be discussed or raised by community members that some may find upsetting. The support these peer groups offer is only support. If you have any significant issues or are seeking medical advice, please speak to your GP.
