AsIAm is delighted to send a written submission to CORU, the regulatory body for health and social care professionals in Ireland, to support their development of their Frameworks for Education and Training and Standards of Proficiency. Our submission highlights the need for clinical and professional training to reflect current thinking around supporting Autistic people and promote rights-based approaches in line with the UNCRPD, for proactively involve our community in developing Guidelines, to regulate harmful therapies and 'interventions', and for CORU to regulate psychology to protect our community.
