Amy started working with AsIAm in May 2024. She is an experienced social care worker who has worked in Autism specific services for 10 years with experience supporting Autistic adults, teens, and children. Amy is keen advocate for the Autistic community and enjoys working directly with Autistic people to ensure they are treated and viewed as equal members of society. Amy is a mammy of two Autistic children so has both professional and personal experience regarding the struggles and implications that families in Ireland face with accessing appropriate services and therapies for their children. Amy has acted as Child and Family Support Manager from January 2025- August 2025 where she has gained further experience and knowledge of what barriers Autistic children and their families face is Ireland and continued her Advocacy in this area in her role as Information Line Manager, which she commenced in August, 2025. From April 2026 Amy moves into her new role as Head of Community Support Hub Services where she hopes to combine what she has learned from her previous roles within AsIAm and her lived experience to support Autistic people and their families who seek support from our Community Support Hub Services. In her spare time, Amy is a baking enthusiast and loves trying her hand at new recipes!
