Ruth joined AsIAm in February 2025 as Education Training Officer, after over seven years working with the Centre for Talented Youth, Ireland, in DCU. In her time there she gained vast experience in working with autistic children, young people and staff in both academic and residential settings in a variety of roles; from teaching to programme coordination and everything in between! Being neurodivergent herself, Ruth brings a wealth of lived experience to her work and is a passionate advocate for inclusive education and student support. She completed her MSc in Guidance Counselling in 2023, having previously completed a BA in Fine Art from NCAD in 2017. In the role of Education Officer Ruth will be coordinating AsIAm’s Autism Friendly Schools Project, as well as supporting the development of and delivery of training and awareness-raising talks in a variety of contexts nationwide.
