Content Contributions
Submitting content
Users are actively encouraged to blog for AsIAm.ie, sharing their experiences and opinions about all things autism. These submissions may be written in the form of blogs, or visual by the way of podcasts. Submission guidelines are available on site.
Removing Content
If you have submitted content for AsIAm in the past and would like for it to be removed from our website, we will, as a courtesy, honour your request.
Email blogs@asiam.ie, explaining your request and we will try to remove it within three working days. We will then notify you as soon as it is deleted by email.
Exceptions will be made to this courtesy if we feel that a submission is in gross violation of our guidelines. Violations include (but are not limited to) direct threats against a person or group of people, libelling and the inclusion of provocative sexual images. We will act accordingly in such a scenario and pass the content, as well as its contributor(s)’s contact information, onto the appropriate authorities if necessary.
Private information
AsIAm never share your contact details with another party, third or otherwise.
The only instance where your details maybe used by a product outside of AsIAm.ie itself is in our mailing list service. We will never automatically add you to this list. You will always have to provide opt-in consent to be mailed and can be removed at anytime by emailing newsletter@asiam.ie or just clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of your email newsletter.
Online map & services directory
Purpose
AsIAm.ie’s online map of Ireland intends to provide Users with a clear and comprehensive bank of practical resources and services to make use of in their local communities. The map details a series of autism support groups, educational resources, and clinical services available across the island.
Submitting details
Organisations and services across the island are encouraged to submit their respective details on to AsIAm via email at map@asiam.ie. Simply include a high resolution image of your logo, your present office address and contact information.
Updating & removing details
If you wish to amend the details you have already provided AsIAm, or would like to remove them altogether, email map@asiam.ie.

You can register with our website if you would like to receive updates on our new projects and services or on our merchandise. Information you submit on our website or over the phone will not be used for this purpose unless you ‘opt-in’ specifically.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive, to receipt any transactions, or if follow-up for that specific function is required. Such addresses are carefully guarded by AsIAm for their specific purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
If you contact our information line team, we will not process your personal information other than for the purposes of providing you with information. We collect information about the types of calls we receive which are used to generate anonymised statistical information only.

Personally identifiable information is stored on our server and is not publicly accessible. Further, personally identifiable information is only accessed by AsIAm personnel on a “need to know” basis.
To prevent unauthorised access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Additionally, sensitive data, such as credit card numbers, are encrypted using SSL and immediately transferred to the PSII1 compliant financial processor (Realex) so that they are not saved on our servers. We follow best practice industry standard measures, to provide an additional level of security.
