These standards will help decide how young people will be supported, what good mental health care looks like for Autistic people, and how CAMHS should support Autistic people and families.
If you are autistic or you’re a family member of someone who is autistic, you can help shape how mental-health services work in Ireland for young people in the future.
What’s the survey about?
You’ll be asked about your experiences with mental-health supports or services: what’s working, what could be better, what it’s like trying to access help. Your feedback will go straight into how things are planned and improved.
Why take part?
Many Autistic people are affected by how CAMHS works.
Your experience is expertise.
If you feel strongly about CAMHS — or if CAMHS has affected you or your family, and if you feel comfortable to share, we especially encourage you to fill in the survey and share your experience.
The Mental Health Commission will use what we say to make services more inclusive, accessible and responsive for Autistic people and families.
It’s anonymous and a chance to influence policy and practice in mental health services for young people.
What happens after you fill I fill the survey?
Once you complete the survey:
Your answers will be collected by the Mental Health Commission.
They will analyse the experiences of those who responded and look for common themes or issues.
Your feedback will be used to design national standards that can change how CAMHS supports young people.
You’ll help ensure that autistic voices are central in shaping mental-health supports.
You can fill in the survey until Friday 28th November, and access the survey using the link : https://easy-feedback.de/s/2035250/8NKeiGB
