Edel Durcan

Edel joined the Galway Community Support Hub as a Community Advisor in June 2026. She holds a background in Psychology and has extensive experience supporting autistic individuals across a variety of settings. Previously, Edel has worked as an Autism Outreach Support Officer and Instructor, where she organised social outings and community-based activities for autistic individuals. She has spent several years developing and delivering a life skills programme for individuals requiring additional support to build life skills and develop their confidence and independence. Edel is passionate about creating inclusive, supportive environments and looks forward to helping provide a positive and welcoming experience for everyone at the Galway Community Support Hub.
