Emma Nolan

Emma joined AsIAm in February 2026 as AAC Team Manager and Senior Speech and Language Therapist. She developed a strong passion for supporting access to and meaningful use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for Autistic children, their families, and their communities while working as a senior speech and language therapist on a Children’s Disability Network Team and in intellectual disability services. Emma brings together extensive clinical expertise with lived experience as an Autistic person. In her role as AAC Team Manager, she is committed to promoting meaningful communication for children and young people who use AAC, and to ensuring that the perspectives of AAC users and their families are represented and meaningfully inform service development and delivery.
