Laura Keenaghan

Community Support Officer

Laura joined AsIAm as a Community Support Officer in June 2026. She holds an undergraduate and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is passionate about creating safe, supportive, and inclusive environments for all children. Through her work in the early years sector, Laura has developed extensive experience supporting families to identify additional support needs, access assessments, and advocate for appropriate educational supports for their children. Laura also facilitates a club for autistic and neurodivergent children and young people, where she has witnessed the beauty of autistic joy, meaningful friendships, and strong community connections. Through this role, she collaborates with Kildare Libraries to deliver inclusive play sessions across the county. Meeting families and hearing their lived experiences has strengthened her commitment to empowering autistic voices and promoting inclusion. Laura is passionate about fostering inclusive and supportive communities where autistic and neurodivergent people feel valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
