Oliwia Dawidek

Community Advisor

Oliwia joined the AsIAm team in November 2024 as a Community Advisor at the One Stop Shop, where she hopes to help autistic individuals and their families access resources and support. She previously worked as an Education Officer in a youth centre providing after-school and out-of-school educational assistance to young people from challenging city backgrounds. Oliwia’s passion for working with young people began in her teens, and she has since built a diverse career. She volunteered for a year as a youth worker in Finland, where she worked with children from all backgrounds, including neurodivergent kids and in one of the country’s largest LGBTQ+ youth clubs. This experience deepened her ability to provide tailored, compassionate support to youth in need. As a late-diagnosed Autistic individual, Oliwia offers a unique perspective on the diagnostic process and a deep understanding of the needs and support systems essential for Autistic individuals. Her personal experience enhances her professional approach, allowing her to create inclusive and empathetic environments. Oliwia holds a Master's in Psychology and has been an active member of Scouting Ireland since her teenage years, further solidifying her commitment to youth development and support. Oliwia is driven by a passion for advocacy and strives to help marginalised individuals, particularly those who are neurodivergent, navigate the systems they need to thrive.
