Sarah Hayden

Policy intern

Sarah Hayden is a Politics & International Relations student at UCD from Greystones, Co. Wicklow who currently works as a Policy Intern with AsIAm on the Policy, Legal and Information Line team. Through her work with AsIAm, Sarah is excited to learn more about the processes of policy submissions and the ways in which NGO’s and DPO’s lobby for political change. She is especially eager to apply the knowledge she has gained from her time in UCD into a practical work setting. Beyond her academic and policy interests, Sarah is a two-time European medallist in Baton Twirling and trains regularly with the Irish National Squad. She is a founding committee member of the Greystones Autism Friendly Towns committee and enjoys speaking at public events about her personal experiences as an autistic individual. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys writing poetry, escaping into any book she can find, and forming various collections of trinkets.
