April is World Autism Month

World Autism Month is a time to recognise, celebrate and support the Autistic community across Ireland. Throughout April, AsIAm will be bringing people together through a range of events, initiatives and opportunities for the community to have their voices heard. This includes our Same Chance Walk, taking place in Dublin and Galway, alongside Host Your Own Walk events happening across the country on April 12. We will also host a Schools Webinar in partnership with Microsoft Dream Space on April 17, supporting schools to build greater understanding of Autism. In addition, we will launch the Same Chance Survey 2026, shaped by the experiences of Autistic people, families and carers across Ireland, highlighting what the community wants to see included in the next National Autism Strategy. Together, these initiatives reflect our shared goal of creating a more inclusive Ireland where Autistic people have the same chance to thrive.
