At AsIAm, we understand the value of approaching Equality, Diversity and Inclusion from a ‘whole culture’ perspective throughout the whole employee lifecycle. Our goal is to support employers in ensuring that every process from recruitment, onboarding and employee development and engagement, down to the exit process and beyond, is as accessible as possible for your employees, existing or potential.

The Autism Friendly Town AsIAm Collaborative Employer programme has been developed with that in mind - to help smaller businesses and organisations achieve a more accessible and inclusive experience for Autistic employees, covering the core elements of the employee lifecycle.Completing the program, small businesses will learn how to adapt existing employee processes to mindfully and proactively create more inclusive work-based practices, such as advertising roles, interviewing, recruiting and supporting Autistic staff (existing and potential), as well as apprenticeship/placement/internship roles.

On Saturday, February 7, 2026, AsIAm will hold an Employment Seminar and Careers Event at at ATU Sligo campus in collaboration with the ATU Disability and Learning Support Service and the ATU Careers Service.

You'll have the chance to:
✅ Hear from Adam Harris (CEO) and the AsIAm Employment Team about AsIAm’s programmes designed to tackle autism unemployment.
✅ Learn about employment supports offered by the Department of Social Protection.
✅ Engage with autism service and education organisations, and Autistic community members.
✅ Partake in CV Development and Interview Skills Workshops for Autistic Jobseekers.
✅ Experience The Stepstone Group’s award-winning Accessibility Lab, an interactive space designed by IrishJobs’ parent company to challenge bias, build understanding, and support disability-inclusive hiring.
