Veronica joined the AsIAm team in January 2025 as a Senior Community Advisor in the One Stop Shop. She completed a pre-registration Masters in Occupational Therapy in the UK and was working for a community Family Eating Disorder Service, where she supported many young Autistic people and their families. During her time in this role, she saw the importance of building a positive sense of autistic identity in the teenagers she worked with, and in using autistic strengths as a key to recovery. She also has placement experience from various mental and physical health settings, working with neurodivergent people of all ages. Veronica is passionate about improving the accessibility to services and supports for the autistic community and in promoting neuro-affirmative care, with a person-centred approach.
